9 Myanmar women rescued in the raid on suspected karaoke/massage parlor in Samhutsakorn

Around 8 P.M. (Oct 4, 2014), a multi-disciplinary team consisted of military from Kamphaengphet Akhara Yothin Camp, Immigration polices, Provincial Police 7 (Samutsakorn), the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and AAT conducted a raid at a karaoke/massage parlor in Samutsakorn province. The place was operated specifically as a front for a brothel. There, the team were able to rescued 9 girls from Shan State (Myanmar) and Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture of China.  In addition, the team also able to arrested one bar/massage manager, Ms. Ma Ei Nang (Myanmar citizen) at the location. The case is now under the investigation and victim identification process.

Samhutsakorn is a neighboring province of Bangkok hosted large populations of migrant workers, primarily from MyanmarThe raid comes as the DSI received report about the minors working at this particular Karaoke/Massage Parlor.
